HP LaserJet Pro, Ultra M102-M106 Printers - First Time Printer Setup This document is for HP LaserJet Pro M102a, M102w, M104a, M104w, and LaserJet Ultra M106w printers. To set up a printer for the first time, remove the printer and all packing materials from the box, install the dust cover, load paper into the input tray, connect the power cord, and then download and install the printer software. NOTE: If you are looking for the printer software, go to 123.hp.com/laserjet. Step 1: Remove the printer from the box Remove the printer from the box and all tape, stickers, and packing materials from the printer. The contents might vary by country/region. See the packaging for a list of items shipped in the box. NOTE: The toner cartridge comes preinstalled in your printer. Do not remove the toner cartridge from the printer. Replace the toner cartridge when the toner is low and print quality becomes unacceptable. A Toner Low or Toner Very Low message might display, and the Attention light   on the control panel might blink. Load envelopes into the printer How you load envelopes depends on what type of printer you have and where the paper input tray is located. CAUTION: To avoid jams and printer damage, do not print envelopes with clasps, windows, shiny surfaces, or coated linings. If you have a LaserJet printer, do not use envelopes with self-stick adhesives or other materials that are susceptible to heat. Load the envelopes into the main input tray. HP laserjet M102w USB problem?

HP laserjet M102w USB problem? printer laserjet pro M102w. PC dell 3020 optiplex win7pro 64bit. 1.Load sware either from disc or HP site. 2. All seems fine, connect printer to PC and install finishes with box showing USBs, updates etc... being done. then says all successful. 3. Priner icon in printer panel has a yellow warning. 4. Device manager shows loads of USB drivers. 5. open printui.exe /s, shows no drivers (whereas other PC that loads printer and works, does). 6. run HP dr prog and shows other printers, but says m102w is not installed. Set up a USB printer connection (Windows) Download the HP Smart app for Windows, and then follow the instructions to set up a USB connection. If you already connected the printer USB cable to your computer , disconnect it, and then remove the printer from your computer. Search for and open Printers & scanners, and then select the name of your printer from the list. Click Remove device, click Yes, and then restart the computer. HP printer setup (Wi-Fi Direct) For most HP printers released after 2014, Wi-Fi Direct is a connection option that does not require an internet connection to send print jobs wirelessly to the printer. Print with Wi-Fi Direct (Windows) Send a print job using a direct wireless connection between your printer and a Windows computer. Get the Wi-Fi Direct printer name (Example:  DIRECT-72-HP OfficeJet Pro 6970 ) and password. Printers with a control panel menu: Touch the Wi-Fi Direct icon or button   to view the Wi-Fi Direct name and password. Or from the Reports menu, print a Network Summary or Network Config page that lists the details. Printers without a control panel menu: Print a network configuration report or help page.
